Art speaks to us without a face. A presentation in a relationship to an author, to an audience, and to the world. Art speaks of speakers beyond itself, stepping into a discourse to which it is simultaneously mediated and immediate. What is the nature of this discourse? How does Art speak without assuming roles of speech? Why does this discourse continue despite Art’s endeavours to undermine structures of speech and dismantle tools of dialogue? This paper discusses/examines the position of Art in discourse, and the position of discourse in Art; recognition of the responsibility that lies between the artist, the audience, and the art to discourse.
Whatever and ever. If your in (Melbourne)town come and see the best thing since sliced bread.
October Updates
Am still destroying myself with overstretched workloads. No room to move. Cannot get anything larger than a pencil off the ground. Reducing a chapter into a presentation; the movable tools. Up and down between Australian cities...
does it get any easier than this?
