comfortable is the life of those who believe to be living in a time of peace. i see no end to the conflict of the twentieth century, but simply dates on paper supposedly delineating one outbreak from the next. the war continues on multiple fronts. the military/civilian divide is a line drawn in a sound byte used to justify the actions of allies and condemn those of enemy. the civilian infrastructure was purposefully targeted to increase terror and decrease morale among the civilian population. the terrorists used the hospital as a civilian shield against our aerial attacks. the school was incidentally hit by a stray missile supposedly targeting a nearby military object.
